A Yoga Trek in the Himalayas is a bucket-list experience like no other

Introducing the Body, Mind and Spirit Tour of Nepal - A thoughtful blend of culture, fitness and spiritual contemplation combining Yoga and intrepid adventure in the Himalayas.

This tour is designed for the adventurous at heart – those seeking a soulful and spiritual physical challenge

Experience the beauty, spirit and culture of Nepal by connecting with the local Langtang community while your visit directly supports the local economy to make a very real difference.

Langtang Valley

The Langtang National park is situated north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border, approximately a seven hours by Jeep. The people of this region have strong Tibetan Buddhist heritage which is evident in their culture and customs. Described as “one of the most beautiful valleys in the world” by Bill Tilman, British travel writer and mountaineer, Langtang is less well known and far less overcrowded than the Annapurna and Everest regions.

Experience the beauty, spirit and culture of Nepal by connecting with the local Langtang community while your visit directly supports the local economy to make a very real difference.

Lhakpa is a local Langtang community leader. Emily first met Lhakpa when she was working as a volunteer Physiotherapist in Nepal.

Now with ten years experience as a physiotherapist and Yoga Teacher, Emily has created a tour that brings together some of the best that Nepal has to offer. You will be in the safe hands of Emily and the local expert guides and porters.

Who this Tour is For?

This tour is designed for the adventurous at heart – those seeking a soulful and spiritual, physical challenge. The trek is of moderate level difficulty and an appropriate level of fitness is recommended. Emily is a skilled and experienced physiotherapist who has trekked this same trail multiple times. You can expect to walk between three and seven hours per day, on various inclines, declines and surfaces surrounded by constantly breathtaking scenery.

Fast and slow walkers are catered for with guides at each end. Not sure if it’s right for you? Have more questions? No problem! Please contact me to schedule a free, no-obligation chat about your personal circumstances.

No matter what your previous experience with Yoga, our optional daily Yoga classes will be skillfully adapted to your individual needs. From the complete beginner to the experienced Yogi, practices will be relevant and appropriate.

The Trek is serviced by basic Tea House in the villages dotted along the trekking route, providing meals, drinks, snacks and accommodation (they also provide toilets – usually squat-style, sometimes western type at regular intervals). They serve delicious food and often have a warm fireplace to cozy up to with a good book and a hot chocolate in the afternoon. Typically accommodation in a Tea House consists of simple twin share rooms with a shared bathroom.

The prefered meal is Dal (curried lentils) & Bhaat (rice). Dal Bhaat is nutritious, filling and provides great fuel for trekking. Each tea-house has its own recipe, and it is usually served with vegetable curry, salad and chutney. There are a variety of other dishes available, such as noodles, sautéed vegetables, eggs, momos and hot drinks. Treats are available in the form of beer and candy bars, and you can bring your own. For breakfast, the tea houses serve pancakes, flat-breads, eggs, cereal and porridge.

A very special treat on some of our treks is a visit to Lhakpa’s Dorje Bakery at Khanjin Gomba (weather & location permitting) at the highest point of our trek. Where I can say I shared the best chocolate cake of my life!

I remembering saying to Emily at the end of day 3 that "I absolutely loved today and have had the BEST DAY". For me, the sense of achievement when you walk in remote areas is unrivalled. It requires an effort that not everyone can or is willing to put in, which makes it all the more special
